Para mi participar en este concurso es un honor y una necesidad, todo mi trabajo como joyera y diseñadora está enfocado en promover, conocer y crear a partir de las especies de plantas y animales de México. Creo que con el arte y las empresas es el canal ideal para llegar a más personas y concientizar sobre las maravillas que hay en nuestro país.
Para diseñar esta mascada me inspiré en el vuelo que hacen las abejas meliponas sobre las flores de Lantana. Siento una especial atracción por lo vintage, por ello utilicé una ilustración de una planta de Lantana del siglo XIX y dibujé en acuarela las abejas las cuales después digitalicé para poder utilizarlas en la mascada.

For me, participating in this contest is an honor and a necessity. All my work as a jeweler and designer is focused on promoting, learning about, and creating from the plants and animal species of Mexico. I think that with art and companies it is the ideal channel to reach more people and raise awareness about the wonders that exist in our country.
To design this scarf I was inspired by the flight that Melipona bees make over Lantana flowers. I feel a special attraction for vintage, that's why I used an illustration of a Lantana plant from the 19th century and drew the bees in watercolor, which I later digitized to be able to use them in the scarf.
